The inspiration for this graphic work, was of course the artistic style Art Deco, also called Jugendstil (in Germany) or Stile Liberty (in Italy).
This artistic style, which influenced architecture and design and art in general, originated in France before WW1 and become very popular during the 1920s and 1930s. The name of this style originated from, the name of an exhibition, held in Paris in 1925: Exposition Internationale des Arts Décoratifs et Industriels Modernes.
Aesthetically, the caracteristics of this style are luxury, glamour, exuberance, and faith in social and technological progress.
